Yashtimadhu (Glycyrrhiza glabra) is a long-lived perennial, up to 2m high known as licorice, with arrowroots that form a woody rhizome with minor roots and bluish to light purple butterfly flowers on their upright inflorescences. The rhizome and fresh root juice are used in the Ayurvedic diet. The powder from the roots, which is finely and gently ground (below 40 ° C) in our production, comes from our Indian and Sri Lankan fair trade and organic projects.
